COSTUME HIRE & CARE
At Goodhew Dance, we aim to ensure every student is fully prepared for class, rehearsals, performances, and competitions. Having the correct dance attire and personal items not only helps students perform their best, but also keeps our groups looking professional, unified, and easily recognisable. Please review the requirements below carefully to make sure your child comes fully equipped each week.
Showgroup Costume Hire
Costume Allocation
Showgroup is assigned specific costumes.
Sizing is based on measurements.
Students will be handed costumes in their showgroup costume bag when they are ready.
Hire Fee
Costume hire fees will be added to your parent portal account.
Payment must be finalised before costumes are released.
Fees cover professional costume sourcing, cleaning, and maintenance.
Care
Costume remain in the care of the student for the year.
It is the responsibility of the student to pack and repack their costume bag after each performance.
Student must alert Miss Melanie if there is any items missing well in advance before a competition so a replacement can be given

Performance Day
Costumes must arrive neatly, packed, hanging (if required), in the costume showgroup bag.
Personal items such as tights and shoes, earrings, etc. should be labelled and packed with the costumes.
Return
Costumes are kept until asked to be returned.
Please promptly return costumes when asked. This may occur various times of the year.
Costume Care Guidelines
To ensure costumes remain in excellent condition:
π« Do not wash unless instructed.
π« Do not alter, cut, or modify costumes.
π« No fake tan, body glitter, or coloured hairspray unless approved.
β Store in garment bag when not in use.
β Hang carefully to prevent wrinkles or damage.
β Keep away from pets, food, and drinks.
After each event, costumes must be repacked and checked neatly and report any missing, broken or damaged items ASAP.
Damage & Late Return Policy
Damage, Loss & Late Fees:
β Families are responsible for any damage or missing items.
β Repair or replacement costs will be charged if necessary.
β Late return fees may apply.
β Lost costume items must be paid for in full.
